From the recording Kingdom Living

A song of testimony written by Elizabeth Ann Smith as she went from being "the servant" to "the daughter" … and how that revelation changed her life.

Luke 15:16 "You are always with me, and all that I have is yours."

If you discover that you are like the prodigal.. in scripture.. not realizing
the GREAT LOVE the Father has FOR YOU. Please return. His arms are
open. The riches mentioned: He loves you so. He's always there.
Everything he has is yours. He always forgives. He does know each
pain and care. And his love is AS a daddy.

These are the truths I learned from the parable of the prodigal son in the bible, AND what I discovered as I give my own testimony in this song.

Lyrics

I was living the life of a servant girl
Even though I was the daughter of the king
Yes I was living the life of a servant girl
Even though I was the daughter of the king
Why did I slave
Why did I obey
Because I thought my master would beat me
Why did I tremble
Why did I fear
Because I thought that my life could never please him
Every time I’d stumble
My heart was full of fear
And every time I’d worship Him
My heart was full of shame
I felt so unworthy yet was trying to be so
For I thought of Father only as my Master
But
Every time I’d stumble
His heart was full of love
And when I’d love and worship Him
His heart was full of joy
He kept reaching out to me
For he wanted me to see
The riches of His love for me his daughter
He loved me so
He was always there
And Everything he had was mine
He’d always forgive
He knew each pain and care
And His love, was as a Daddy to his daughter

Yes, All of the time
I was his daughter
Tenderly loved by Him
And He kept reaching out to me
For He wanted me to see
That his love was as a daddy to his daughter
Yes, his love was as a daddy to his daughter

So I’m living the life of a Daughter now
No longer loaded down with worries and with care
For He has blessed me and will love me for eternity
I ask of Him, and He lets me know, He’s there
Why do I serve
Why do I obey
Because I KNOW that my Father really loves me
Why do I worship
Why do I sing
Because the joy in my heart keeps me from silence
Yes, from now on
I am His Daughter
I know I do not have to fear
For this powerful God and Savior
Is mine for evermore
And He loves me as
As a Daddy to his daughter
Yes, His love is as a Daddy to his daughter
