From the recording Christ's Sermon In Song

This sobering song comes from Matthew 7:21-23. Many people profess to be Christians but don't obey the Father nor have a relationship with Jesus Christ. They are pretenders...mascaraders...but the Lord knows those who are His. Do not be one of these that hears the words of this song some day. There couldn't be anything worse...than being told to depart from Him. If you need to be saved, and sure of that salvation, go to the Jesus Save Me menu tab on this site and I'll lead you to Christ. Then ask the Holy Spirit to come live within you, and He will be faithful to reveal God and Christ to you and you'll begin a genuine relationship.

Lyrics

You who practice lawlessness
And don’t obey the will of my Father in heaven
You will say “Lord, Lord”
But I’ll say, “I never knew you”
You who practice lawlessness
And don’t obey the will of my Father in heaven
You will say “Lord, Lord”
But I’ll say, “I never knew you”

But Lord
Have we not prophesied in your name
And Lord
Have we not cast out demons
And what about
The wonders that we’ve performed
All-in-your-name, Lord
What of this?

I will say to you “Depart from Me!”
Though it’s true
You have done great things in my name
Your righteousness
Was not IN Me
Nor did you obey
My Father’s Will

You who practice lawlessness
And don’t obey the will of my Father in heaven
You will say “Lord, Lord”
But I’ll say, “I never knew you”
You who practice lawlessness
And don’t obey the will of my Father in heaven
You will say “Lord, Lord”
But I’ll say, “I never knew you”

But Lord
Have we not prophesied in your name
And Lord
Have we not cast out demons
And what about
The wonders that we’ve performed
All-in-your-name, Lord
What of this?
I will say to you “Depart from Me!”
Though it’s true
The you have done great things in my name
Your righteousness
Was not IN Me.
Nor did you obey
The Father’s Will
